BACK TO THE FUTURE

Version: Universal Trilogy Widescreen 2002 Release w/Corrected Discs

Well, this one deserves a review. I remember the hype when it was released on dvd. Of course, lazy me didn't get a set until a couple months ago... ^^;

The thing I like best would be the score. I like full orchestra scores, and you definitely get the sweeping feeling from this one. My favorite track is the one that plays as Marty is going home.

Character wise: Doc is my favorite, mostly because he has the funniest dialogue. Marty isn't too bad, but George is not my kind of guy. Plus the actor wanted more for the sequel when he was not in the position to demand... (I'll talk more on that if I do a BttF 2 review) Biff is a hoot, especially when he mixes up his phrases. ("Make like a tree, and get out of here!")

I find the idea of interacting with your parents when they were your age to be weird, but it is the driving force behind the movie. In a deleted scene, Marty watches his mom cheat on an exam. Can you imagine doing that?

Darth Vader from the planet Vulcan has to be one of the best gags in this movie. The Reagan one is good too. A lot of humor comes from the Doc, but Biff and co also contribute. If you have the dvd, watch the deleted scenes and gag reel for more laughs.

I recommend owning this one. You can buy the movies individually now, though this is the only one that feels right by itself. Parts 2 and 3 are back to back, so they should be bought together.
